Women in the Quran - Maryam "AS" Story

Overview of the Program:

This program offered by Kalemah Islamic Centre highlights the remarkable stories, virtues, and spiritual qualities of two exceptional women mentioned in the Qur’an: Hannah “the mother of Maryam”, and Maryam (AS).

Through Qur’anic reflection, character study, and a deeper understanding of their historical and spiritual contexts, this course aims to inspire modern Muslim women with timeless lessons of sincerity, chastity, devotion, trust in Allah, and resilience.

The program blends Islamic knowledge, reflection, and practical application to help participants internalize these values in their personal and family lives.

About the Teacher

Ustadah Salma Shabudeen, a dedicated student of Islamic studies in the U.A.E., has over 15 years of teaching experience. She has studied under scholars like Sheikh Riyad Ansari, covering Arabic Grammar, Aqeedah, Seerah, and Usool al-Fiqh. She holds a BA in Islamic Studies from Knowledge International University, Saudi Arabia, and completed a Quran Tafseer Course at Sharjah Women’s association. She has led Tafseer classes at Al Hikmah Center and Dubai Women’s Association, where she also managed programs for new Muslims, children, and Ramadan activities. She previously taught Tafseer at Masjid Zarooni, Al Nahda, Dubai, and currently oversees children’s weekend classes.
