The belief of a Muslim is what defines them. It is so important and fundamental that the majority of the prophethood of the Messenger ﷺ was spent teaching it. Learning proper belief doesn’t have to be difficult. In the book 200 Questions and Answers on Muslim Belief, Haafidh al-Hakami, one of the great scholars of his time, covers the most important parts of a Muslim’s belief, in an approachable and easy to understand question and answer format, comprising over 200 answers to the most important questions that any Muslim, young or old, must know the answer to.
This course explores the second half of the Juz Amma from Surah al-Ala’ to Surah an-Nas. The last part of the Qur’an – the surahs that are often recited in our prayers, the surahs that are short in length but very weighty in meaning.
The early generations gave great importance to manners. Mālik ibn Anas said to a young man from Quraysh, “O nephew, learn manners before you learn knowledge.” For this reason, we will begin our studies of hadeeth with the book 40 Hadeeth on the Islamic Personality, by Shaykh ‘Ali Hasan al-Halabi. This book is a wonderful introductory text to the manners and character of a Muslim, through the study of forty of the hadeeth of the Prophet ﷺ on the topic. The author has chosen an excellent title for each hadeeth, bringing together many of the character traits that are sadly missing from so many people today
