Every Friday and Saturday: "Fiqh 101: An introductory but comprehensive Fiqh Course" by Shaykh Moosa Khoory

Teacher: Moosa Tariq Khoory

Course Summary: As requested by some of the committed students in Kalemah Centre, this course is an introductory Fiqh (Islamic Jurisprudence) as per Shafie Math-hab (school of thought). The course will mainly rely on the highly recognized and concise book of AlQadi Abu Shuja' Ahmad Bin Husain, titled 'Matn Al Ghayah Wat-Taqreeb'.

This book contains the basics of Fiqh for students, which will eventually help them build their understanding of the Islamic rulings with evidences from Quran and Sunnah, as they proceed to more specialized books such as 'Bulugh Al-Maram'. Hence, this book is a key!

Starting from a school of Fiqh or Math-hab is a clear and concise beginning that many renowned scholars started from, such as Imam An-Nawawi (author of the famous book 'Riyadh-ul-Saleheen'). It is a good and promising way to approach Sharia knowledge, and the only way a student will be able to eventually go through the long books (Mutawwalat) insha'Allah.

Scholars say: "He who memorized the Mutun (concise and densed intoductory books), mastered the Funoon (the arts of Sharia: Aqeedah, Hadeeth, Fiqh, Arabic grammar, etc.)

Audience: Everybody seeking knowledge and is serious about reaching a higher understanding of this Deen.

Duration: 45 minutes

Program Schedule: Every Friday and Saturday after Fajr Prayer at Kalemah Center
